Avast!

HI EVERYBODY! Josh here. I was bored at work so I thought I might as well try and figure out what our password was. We'd like to appoligize for the long time between posts. I was never good at keeping a journal or anything of the sort and when you add my memory and hundreds off passwords I have to remember it takes a toll. Alot has been going on since we last wrote. Let me see....

Well me and Sarah are doing well. We have had alot of "disagreements" but we have been working hard to become better spouses(me especially, shes perfect already). Man being married is sure hard work. I have to give up my selfish ways and the more I work to become a decent husbund the more I realize I need to do to get there.

Since theres really know way for me to catch up on everything that has transpired since our last post ill just mention a few things.

Recently we have been trying to go the local race track where we watch auto racing. Sarah has been having a good time. The track is very tempermental so much of the time is spent just watering/drying the track but when those cars get going it is a fun time for us. We also have been trying to go the movies more ofton especially on base where it is free for us to watch movies.

Every couple of weeks I BBQ somthing up. Most recently I did some New York Strip Steaks. They were pretty good I thought. I think Sarah probably would prefer a little less well done but she ate hers anyways.

Sarah has recently applied to a few jobs and we are waiting to here. Also she is considering going to school to get a degree. She put in her application to use her G.I. Bill and were waiting to here a response on that as well. I have less then a year till I leave the Military so i've been contemplating what I am going to do after I get out. At this time I think I am going to go to school as well but thats somthing me and Sarah still need to discuss fully.

My older sister Melissa is going on church mission to Portugal. Thats pretty exciting while both me and Sarah have travelled much of Asia (and middle east some for Sarah) nether of us have been to Europe. My little Sister Tabby is going to school at Utah State(wich may have helped us figure out that we should probably go to school eventually). My little neices keep getting less little. I also got to meet my wifes sisters family to incluse my nephews. Man my family is starting to get big. And im starting to feel old.

Well anyways hopefully we will be a little bit better about posting and maybe Sarah can figure out how to do pictures up on here. Well tell next time take care.

Wheres the Baby seals diaper?

Sarah has been working hard. Both at work and at home. Anyone who knows me I am incredibly messey. I do my best not to make a big mess.

Recently I got a chance to get out of the store and go work with some Navy Seals and Helocopters. I got to be a bad guy. Needless to day the Navy Seals won. Then the next day my division (who I am not currently working with) took a day up to go enjoy the slopes at Squaw Valley USA. So I decided to go with them. After taking the wrong highway 89 (I went north was suppose to go south) getting turned around, finding the right highway 89 and found my way to the beautiful olympic village in Squaw valley. Unable to locate my friends and division i just decided to rent a snowboard and try things out myself. Needless to say I am very glad it was beautiful weather so I could enjoy all the beautiful Sierra Mountians in all there snow covered glory from my rear end as I spent over a hour trying to figure how to stand up. Luckily after I figured I could flip over onto my knees and stand up that way.(thank you to the 8 year old kid who showed me. lol.) then I did it! I glid down the mountian. And every few feet i'd fall down. But it was fun none the less.

Following my Epic adventures in the mountians was RACE DAY!!! As im sure most of our readers know I always enjoyed watching Nascar on TV when I was younger and of course Sarah is not one bit shy of being a NASCAR Fanatic. (as you can tell by our home decor) Early on it looked like it was going to be a Jimmey show(#48 lowes) but after the rain brought out a few cautions we started to see a change. Sarah's driver Dale Jr. (#88 Amp/National Gaurd) had worked his way up from the back and was running very well considering it was a track he traditionaly had finished poorley. But alas it wasnt ment to be as he had to end his run early with engine problems. It was still a enjoyable time none the less.

Well that should get you caught up on our lives up to well this weekend. Hopefully youll here from us again soon.

Life rolls on

It's been a little while since our last post. Sarah finally got her check. Shes also been working at Best Western as the front desk clerk here in fallon. She seems to be doing pretty well and her boss seems to like her. We've been doing pretty well as a couple. We were able to go out to fernley and get some sushi last friday. Saturday we drove up to carson city and went shopping so Sarah could get some new pants. On our way home we stopped at chilli's in Sparks and ate. Sunday while Sarah was at work me and my Kitty-Hawk buddy Sean went out in the desert and went shooting. After we went through a case of .22 rounds it was time to get back home so I could be there when Sarah got home. Now that Sarah has been working we dont see eachother as much as we use to, but we try to make every minute count. I love her as much as the day we said "I do".

Times Are Hard

Josh & I had a quiet Christmas. My parents came to visit the Sunday prior and brought gifts, and ended up spending the night. Then, the night of the 24th, I cooked Christmas dinner. It was the first time that I had cooked a turkey, but it ended up coming out alright. We also had stuffing and green beans along with some rolls.

Christmas morning came quickly. I was unable to sleep and got up at 4am, and started cleaning the house to try to get myself to go back to sleep. I ended up going back to bed just before 6 to get up again an hour later because Josh was awake and excited like a child about opening presents. After breakfast, scrambled eggs with some left over turkey and bacon, we started opening gifts. Josh got lots of tools, mostly from Mama Perry and some from me as well. I received NASCAR apparel, a jacket and a couple of t-shirts. There was also gift cards, and some money from the Perry's for dinner. The rest of the day was quiet. We spent the time together, watching TV or playing video games. The next day, we didn't really go out, just to get a few items that we needed. New Years was also quiet. We chose to stay at home, spending the evening to watch movies and be together.

As for other things, I am still unemployed. It has been a month since I was discharged from the Navy and I have yet to receive the desperately needed separation payment that the Navy has promised me. The job market here is not too good, not many administrative jobs around here. I have applied to a couple of places, but have not heard back from anyone yet. Josh and I are having a difficult time making ends meet. His paycheck goes to paying bills and we barely have enough money to purchase groceries. We are hoping that I am able to get a job soon, or that my separation payment comes in sometime soon so that we can have money to pay bills as well as purchase things that we need.
My days are quiet. While Josh is at work, I stay home and look on the internet for jobs, usually coming up with nothing. Josh comes home, and home is where we stay because we cannot afford to go anywhere. Occasionally, we go to the base theatre to catch a movie, but that is not often. We can only hope that times will soon change and things will start looking up for us.

Thanksgiving togethor

Hey this is Josh. I usually let Sarah do all the posting since she has all the writing talent. Anyways Sarah was able to get the last week off. So she flew up here after a few fog delays she was back into my arms. We were able to spend out very first thanksgiving togethor. We barbiqued some steaks and shrimp kebabs togethor. Then had some pumpkin pie, cool whip and ice cream for desert. All in all it was most enjoyable to spend time togethor. She has to go back to San Deigo soon, somthing i will not enjoy, but atleast she will soon be out of the navy and will be back in my arms soon. I love her so much.
